I’m Rick Maurer: guitarist, singer and songwriter. I teach, and I also translate and proofread texts between Spanish and English.

Timeline
My path as a teacher
From Rome to Burgos, via London and Granada.

Rome
I start teaching English.
- London
Teacher Training at International House
Intensive training and a Teacher Training certificate.
- Then
Granada
I carry on teaching in Granada.
- Burgos
Teaching degree
A teaching degree from the University of Burgos. I’ve lived and taught here for over 30 years, in schools, academies and private lessons.
Music
The music
I play rock, blues, pop and folk, in English and Spanish. I’ve been in several bands and recorded three albums of original songs.
Today I have five different live shows for bars, weddings, parties and corporate events.

Outside work
In my spare time I listen to all kinds of music, read, and spend time with family and friends. I like good wine and quality beer, and I make my own pacharán.
